A little Hello...

I put a little Christmas background on the blog. I was feeling in the mood :) I have been blogging since 2007 and I use to really decorate it all up. I had music and everything. I enjoy blogging so much more then Facebook. A lot of bloggers have switched to just keeping up on facebook. I wish some would come back to blogging. I enjoyed so many blogs. Blogging you can find such interesting things and ideas. Facebook sometimes is just a brag book or drama book..lol :) By the way I also have it set up now on here to where I am replying to your comments under each comment you leave on here. I really enjoy hearing from you all. I promise I am going to start posting more. I hope everyone is having a blessed week!!

Meet Pete....

Meet Mr.Pete

 This frog would not leave outside our back door last night. I told mom maybe I should do like the old saying says, "Kiss a frog and it will turn into your prince". It made me think of the frog part in O'Brother where art thou movie..lol..so I shall name it Pete then. You have to know the movie part I guess to get that joke. I have not seen Pete anymore. 

Flying Leaps...

I looked on the deck this morning and I noticed a squirrel walking the rail. There is no stairs on the back deck and we started wondering how it got up there. We watched it. It could not figure out how it was going to get down. It kept walking along the rail trying to find a way down. I finally open the door and walked on the deck to see if I could do something and all of a sudden it took a flying leap and nose dived into the fence. I have not seen it anymore. It sure did take a good skydive though.

It arrives come Sunday!!

The weekend is upon us once again! 

This weekend though something is coming!

I am happy though to be able to celebrate it once again!

I am now entering my last two days of 28!

Sweet Surprise...

I have never really been a sweets eater. Once in a while I eat some! My sister surprised us with Gigi's Cupcakes in Nashville Saturday night on her way home. They are so good!! They have tons of flavors to choose from!!

Return of the Birds...

Every morning almost,these birds come out. They are so freaky looking!!! They all gaither and sleep on a tower on our road. In the morning times they sit and walk on roofs and decks. This one I got pictures of came this afternoon. I looked it up on the Internet and they are called Black Vultures. They are just so scary looking in person!!

Little of this and a little of that...

Welcome Spring or should I say maybe Spring? This past week we have had a mixture of everything. From Rainy days to strong winds and yes even Snow!! I thought that was all over with. We have not had any snow all winter and then it's officially Spring and here it is. Crazy weather I tell you! 

Mom took some pictures. It happened early in the morning when I was still sleeping..lol

 Miss Daisy singing!! Meaning she is just barking at anything and nothing at all:) LOL!!

My sister went shopping in Dickson with a friend the other day. Well she knows I love anything Vintage looking or old. She seen this beautiful key chain and bought it for me. I love it!!!!!! I love cameos. They are so beautiful. 

Please be in prayer for my sister she is having Surgery in April to remove a cyst. Praying that all goes safe and well and they won't have to remove any of her ovaries. 

I am also on a fast from facebook. I just felt lead to stay away from it for a while. It was taking up too much of my time and all the posting and fighting over gay marriage was just getting me down. I needed to step away and find something else to put my time into. I enjoy going around commenting and visiting blogs. A lot less arguing and stuff on here. So I felt the need to just let it go for a little while.

Surprises...

I love getting stuff in mail. It makes my day to open a letter or package. I won the monthly giveaway at author Karen Witemeyer website. She sent 2 books from other authors,bookmarks,magnet,notepad,recipe on a card and the cutest little matchbox with a sewing kit in it. I just love Christian historical fiction!! I loved her book Short Straw Bride!!

I researched my family tree a long time ago. I think most came from Europe if I am not mistaken.

I love Books!!

Books!! Do I have too many? No way you can never have to many. Called me old fashion but I love to have a book in my hand. With all the new ebook ways to read today,I just still prefer actual books.

 Most all of my books I have gotten free to review them or from yard sales and thrift stores.

Catching up...

Hey ya'll:) to whoever is still reading this..lol!! I have not posted a regular post in a while so I thought I would drop in and say hey!! I really have not had much to blog about but hopefully I can come up with something to write about soon. Here is some tidbits from my life the past couple of weeks.

We booked our Vacation and in a few weeks we will get to see the beautiful shores of Destin FL. I have never been so I am very excited to see some new waters. I hear it is clear water and white sands and simply beautiful. We rented a condo and I am very excited about all that coming up!! My camera will pretty much be in action the whole time and I tend to take sooooooo many pictures!! We have been playing with the idea of maybe driving through New Orleans just to see what it looks like,but we don't know about that yet.

My parents this past 14th of August celebrated 36 years of Marriage!! I am so thankful to have been raised by a home where both parents were present and we were loved and grew up knowing we were loved and safe and all the memories made. So many today come from broken homes and bad marriages. I am so thankful that I came from one who stuck it out through thick and thin!! 

My Mama turned ...well I don't know if she is settled with the age yet..lol. She turned another year older on her Birthday yesterday the 18th!! We took her out to breakfast at a local place that is good here in town. She got cards,gifts and a cake!! Me and my sister took her out for the day and we ended up just riding around to parts we have not seen out this way yet. We went to Franklin and Brentwood TN areas. A lots of singers live in those areas. We had a great time.

Then on the way home from taking my mom around we had to stop at a store and we found a Chinese restaurant in the shopping center so we decided to go in and eat supper. Well we walk in and not a sole is to be found,no customers and no workers. My sister said is it even open? I laughed and we all walked toward a table and finally here comes a man wondering out and he can't speak English very good and we finally figure out he asking us what we want to drink,so we say water. Meanwhile my sister is at the restroom and can't get in,the man yells something back at my sister that we have yet to know what he said,but we later figured out I think he was saying wait because somebody was in there. My sister heard the waitress yelling at somebody on the phone in there. So we all make our way over to the food area and nothing is out hardly. Some food here and there,but bare and some were empty with nothing. It wasn't worth the money because we wasn't going to be able to make a plate,it was pretty much just empty. So my mom says I'm not eating here and she starts to walk out,then my sister follows her and I go out. We were in a laughing mood by this time and we were in the car laughing because of how bad it was and how we just walked out. We never got any food or anything. Well I see a lady running toward our car while we are backing out and my sister said that is the waitress. Well the waitress runs to our car and throws a paper towel on our front window. My mom when she had sat down had left a paper towel she had took in on the table by accident. They threw it out our windshield and she ran back inside holding the doors and all of them looking at us mean. We were laughing so hard by then we just had pull over and my sister took the wipers and it blew off when they went over it. It was the best laugh I have had in a very long time and we could not stop laughing. Now we know to never go in a place that is empty,there is a reason sometimes. I can't believe people would be so rude in their business to people. You are not going to gain any customers acting so rude and throwing stuff at people. I got home and read reviews on the place and they were all bad so avoid this place!!!

It sure is not a pleasant place..lol I could have said so much but just decided it wasn't even worth it,if that is how they want to act then let them,but they won't get my good review.
