Well another Saturday of Yard Sales come and gone!! This weekend was the 400 mile sale in Kentucky. So we went to an area of it near where we live. I found a few deals.
Cutest little wooden box .25 cents, Brand new Note cards(Mary Engelbreit ones,love her stuff) .10 cents
Picture Frames .50 cents each. I like buying these here lately to put my prints I make to put out.
I have been wanting another small shelf in my room. I found one for $5.00!!! It looks brand new!!
Can't wait til the next Yard Sales. Never know what you will find.

If you know me or just by looking at my blog you can tell,I love any old stuff from the past. I live near Land Between the Lakes in KY. I love "The Homeplace". It is really one of the best living history farms I have seen. Live animals and costume workers all the time. I just really love it. I missed the event last year,but I got to go yesterday to it this year. A reenactment of a 1850's wedding!! I loved it. Call me a nerd or dork or whatever,but I love history things like this. I love seeing, hearing or reading about time periods in the past. Here is a few pictures from this weekend. I didn't take any really of the farm because I have a bunch I took already on another trip. The mother brushed the bride with a small sheaf of wheat to symbolically ensure fertility in the marriage

This past weekend when we went to Land between the Lakes we also rode through the Bison area. We didn't see anything and thought we wasn't going to see one. Then we rounded a corner and there was a whole herd of Bison! I have never seen one in person. They were right by the cars.
This past weekend we went to Land Between the Lakes on a day trip and it was free to get into the places in it that day. We stopped by "The Homeplace". I loved it,it is a living turn of the century working farm. It feels like you have really gone back in time. You tour around the whole thing and it takes you through different buildings. I love history and I really enjoyed this. They always have things going on there too.
The path leading up too the home were beautiful fields with snake fences.
I loved the house. It was called a double pen style house. Very neat layout. It has a big open middle with closed door rooms on each side. I had never seen one of these layouts. I loved it. Then a kitchen in a back part and a upstairs with 2 more bedrooms.
