Favorite Christmas Movies...

I love when my favorite Christmas movies roll out for the season!! I admit though I can watch these anytime of the year. These are my favorite Christmas movies.

"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"

 I have watched this movie since I was a child. It is so sweet and shows the true meaning of Christmas!! It's such a special Christmas movie to me.

Ok seriously who has not seen this one? It never gets old. Here is one of my favorite clips from the movie.

"A Christmas Story"

Where have you been if you have never seen this one? It's a must watch every year at least one time!! I have always watched this one. I think it ranks as one of the top in my book. Below is one of my favorite clips.

"ELF"

This movie makes me laugh every time. Such a great comedy during the Christmas season. I love Buddy the Elf!!

"The Homecoming"

I love "The Waltons" and this is the first movie that started the series. Most of the cast from this one star in the series. I found the movie on youtube in full version. Click here to watch.

Does a Egg really fry on a Sidewalk?

I have always heard the saying "It's hot enough to fry a egg on the sidewalk" Well with really hot weather and it nearing 100 degrees,I decided to test it and see if it was true. Was it a pass or fail. Watch and find out!

DVD Review:Journey to Christmas

 I recently had the chance to review this DVD Journey to Christmas. It is a 2 disc special with different shows on it fitted into a reality show format. I found it too be very interesting and enjoyed watching it. It takes you with 5 different people on different walks in their faith to Israel and the journey Mary and Joseph would have took during the time of Jesus birth and the places along the way. It shows the group dressing as bible day people and performing the task they would have back in those days. I think it also adds a little documentary to it as well. There are interviews with people who have researched and know a lot about the birth and the bible. I really thought this was a neat idea format for a DVD. It was very interesting and I really enjoyed learning some stuff I didn't never even think of.

Books,Movies and Random Talk

Yes..I changed the look again and you might come back again and find it a whole new way another day..who knows? I love messing and designing my blog:) Nothing much on my mind right now. I move the music player to the right near the top so you could turn if off easy if you wanted to watch a video I post. I got thoughts and post ideas in my head,it's just a matter of putting them on here. I love blogging:) I think I love it more then Facebook. God knows I am a shy person and I think it's his way of letting me show Christ to others around the world. That is the great thing about the Internet you never know who is reading it so you can get anybody from any country and that is cool. I have been reading a lot. Some of the books I finished are.

Author Cindy and her Plain Friend Miriam share different real life stories and Recipes and about the friendship they share.

Under the Overpass By Mike Yankoski

Two Christian Men lived on the Streets for months to see what it was really like to be homeless in America and if their faith in God was Strong and real enough to where they knew their love for God was real.

Unplanned by Abby Johnson

Love Finds you in Charm Ohio By Annalisa Daughety

I love Amish fiction,it is one of my Favorites genre's to Read! I stick to mainly books in the Christian inspirational section when I am reading Fiction because most mainstream fiction has parts I don't like such as cussing and etc. So I love the section of shelves in my library that is got all the inspirational Christian books in one place:)

Plus one more thing...I love this movie and I recently checked it out so my parents could watch it. It is a really good Christian movie.

The Perfect Gift Movie

Me and mom caught this movie on tv awhile back and it was such a good little Christian Christmas movie:)

The Storyline:A spoiled schoolgirl,her overworked executive mother and a disillusioned young minister each receives an uplifting message about friendship, commitment, and the truest meaning of Christmas from a kind, but mysterious drifter named Jess.

It was so good,it brought tears to my eyes. The town council wanted the church to take down the Nativity in the yard and the law made them have to take it down but a bunch of people worked together and fought the city and rebuilt it after the city tore it down. It was really good to see how they all came together in the true meaning of Christmas and they each put money at the city council's table in a meeting and paid the fine for keeping the nativity up:) Really good movie!!

It's beginning to feel like Christmas!

Well I finally got a few things done this weekend! Yes I have finally seen the movie that everybody was talking about "The Blind Side" I seen it on the library shelf the other day and checked it out and it was a pretty good movie. Usually movies that have all this hype end up not being that good,but this one I actually liked. I also watched another movie that I found at the Library called "The Note" with mom, I had read the book and the movie was really good as well. Then we saw a great movie on a Christian Channel I don't know the name of it I didn't catch the title when I was working on my Christmas town while watching it. It was about the word Merry Christmas and how it's Christ birthday and the world is trying to take Christmas out of everything! Such a good movie. We began Christmas decorations this weekend. Mom still is sick feeling with that flu mess. So we are sorta just taking our time. I came up with the idea of a Victorian look cause I love love love the Victorian Era:)

First off it snowed,just a little and then it melted away,but still it snowed:) The I put out my little tree in my room with some of my ornament collection:)

I made my annual snow village. I first put down paper that dad had from work and it fit perfectly on the table and this I sat my town out and then sprinkle the town with sugar over the white paper. I added some bushes I found on clearance at the Dollar Tree for .25 cents a pack!! Plus I added a skating pond with a idea off the Internet:) I love doing this every year!
