I am sorry for the loss of Whitney Houston and for her family, but why is it when a famous person dies it is all you see on the news. What about the millions of other people in the world dying each day? They don't get big headlines. What about the troops, people on the mission field, everyday normal people, people dying of sickness or hunger. It got me to thinking this thought today what if Jesus were here this day in time and died on the cross for us,would it make headlines across the world and be on every station you turn and would people be crying and talking about it like when a famous person dies? Something to think about.

Random Talk
Hey ya'll:)
I hope this post finds you all well and good. I hope you had a wonderful Valentines day! Remember even if you are single **Like me** don't feel bad cause Valentines isn't just for couples it is about showing love to everyone around you and caring for others. You don't have to be in a relationship to celebrate Valentines and plus you should show the people you love everyday that they are loved not just one day of the year:) I bought me a new little digital camera the other week. Same make as my other one just a upgrade to 16.1 mp. It is a cybershot by sony. I am not really sure I tell a difference in it much. So how is everyone out there in bloggy land doing?
I love looking at the moon when it shines through my window like this.
Some cute little cupcakes I bought for Valentines day
Some Candy and a card from my parents
A supper of Lasagna

Abortion and the 180 Video
This is from the 180 movie. This a picture of what a baby looks like at 12 weeks in the womb. I see hands, legs, feet, nose, face, mouth, eyes all forming. That is a human life!! That is not a fetus that is a baby..a human life.
I have always been for life and not abortion. I think abortion is wrong and I came across this video through a link from facebook and it was so powerful that I just had to share it. Laws are out there for people who commit murder on human life. Well a baby no matter the age in the womb is human life and when it gets aborted, yes that is killing. So where is the law to protect the ones with no voices? If you don't want the baby have it and give it a couple that can't have children and somebody who truly wants a baby. It's a human life!! Please watch the video.

Book Review:Then Sings my Soul 3
I recently had the chance to review this book. I had read book 2 and enjoyed it. This is the last book and number 3 in the "Then sings my soul series". This one goes deeper then any of the others have gone. It has gone into hymns that I had never even heard and some that I did know. It gave a deep history of hymns throughout the years and starting behind hymns and hymn books. I found out so many things I did not even know about. I really enjoyed getting to read the history and how we became to singing out of hymn books today. You always sing these songs in church, but you never know the reason behind it and why it was wrote. Then it also gives a bunch of songs and their lyrics and the story behind each song. I really enjoyed this book and it is wonderful if you want to know the history of hymns.

People God puts in front of you...
Isn't it amazing sometimes who the Lord puts in your path? Moving to a new city and trying to find the right church can be hard. I am the type of person who loves and only knows the old time way. I would not have it any other way. I am a person who still enjoys the spirit, old fashion preaching, choir singing. Well around here we seen nothing but the new contemporary style. I'm not judging for worshiping that way,it's just not the way I like to go too. I am just an ole fashion Baptist girl. Well we have been looking at churches in the area online and I have noticed one that was a independent baptist. Turns out my mom and sister had looked at the same website. Well me and dad were eating breakfast at Shoney's the other Saturday and we were about to leave. Dad left the table to go to the restroom and a couple came in and sat down behind us. I was watching them and thinking the man looked like somebody I had seen before. I could tell he was a preacher,I felt it in my heart he was and then my Dad came back and I said I think that man behind us is the man I seen on the internet as Pastor of a the church I had looked at. So I am shy and as we were leaving dad asked him for me and indeed he was a preacher. Yes it was the one I seen online. Better yet as we talked he said his church was Ole Fashion preaching,KJV bible only and choir singing from the hymn book. It was a independent baptist church!! Exactly like one we are looking for. I was shocked. We never even was going to go to Shoney's, but when Cracker Barrel was going to be a long wait we decided on Shoney's. Isn't it amazing who the Lord puts in your way? We are going to go and visit there soon.

Book Review: The Christmas Singing by Cindy Woodsmall
I recently had the chance to read and review this book. I am a fan of Cindy's books and had to read it. I wasn't let down by it. It was a nice not too deep story. Mattie was brokenhearted by her boyfriend and soon after moved away to another community. She meet Sol and started dating him and opened and established her own Bakery from her love of baking cakes. She left the shop for a few moments to help a lady with a cake to her car and before she knows she lost her whole shop in a fire. Mattie goes back home to her community to be with her family and comes face to face with the one who broke her heart. I won't give out anymore details but that is the plot of the book. I found it to be a short sweet romantic Amish read. It does not go into great lengths and gives you just enough of the story to where you are satisfied. I very much enjoyed this newest read from Cindy and I am sure you would love this sweet story too.

A New Year...
Well so it begins another new year. A new year filled with anything you can set your mind to do and conquer. I don't know about you,but yes I make many resolutions and then a couple weeks later I am back to the same old me again..lol;) Well this year I am determined to make changes in Lifestyle habits and so many other things in life. This past year has been so many changes. We moved from the only home I had ever known and grew up in and the town where I was born and raised and my family was born and raised to a whole new city in another state. I never knew how it would be until I actually made the move. To be honest though I am doing well with the move part. Im the type of person that likes change and seeing new things so to be honest I think I am doing alright with the move and we are where God wants us in life at this period. Then last month we lost Nanny. I had never been by the bedside where someone leaves this earth and passes to the next. When they took the tubes out she looked at everyone, but could not talk and was not able to breathe on her own and then she just drifted off to sleep and never woke up again. I can't describe what it is like to watch somebody pass into God's arms. You wonder what there seeing and what they are saying. Though we were all around the bedside crying, she wasn't she was in a better place and I bet smiling. It really puts life in front of you when you see somebody pass to the next life. It makes you think about your own and are you ready and that one day it will come to all of us. So what are your goals for the coming year? What mark do you want to leave behind on life and people? I would love to see the world just get along and people to slow down and really smell the breath of air and not be in such a rush. Take time to enjoy life. What do you wish for the New Year? Where will your road lead this year?

Book Review:Daily Gifts of Grace
This book looked really pretty on the outside and sounded really good,so naturally I had to get it to try. It is a devotion book with one devotion for each day of the year from different women. It is women writing from the Women of faith. It has great day to day devotions that help women through each day and really makes you think. It includes a bible verse with each devotion and the book itself is beautiful with a magnetic closure front and very easy to carry along with you each day. Some of the devotions writers include Joni Eareckson Tada,Natalie Grant and so many other wonderful women. This would make a great gift for somebody or just a treat to read for yourself. Wonderful devotion book.

DVD Review:Journey to Christmas
I recently had the chance to review this DVD Journey to Christmas. It is a 2 disc special with different shows on it fitted into a reality show format. I found it too be very interesting and enjoyed watching it. It takes you with 5 different people on different walks in their faith to Israel and the journey Mary and Joseph would have took during the time of Jesus birth and the places along the way. It shows the group dressing as bible day people and performing the task they would have back in those days. I think it also adds a little documentary to it as well. There are interviews with people who have researched and know a lot about the birth and the bible. I really thought this was a neat idea format for a DVD. It was very interesting and I really enjoyed learning some stuff I didn't never even think of.
I received this DVD free from Tyndale for my honest review.

Nanny
Well I have not been blogging. I have been down in NC for 2 weeks. My grandma was real sick in the hospital. She got really bad and she was just too weak to pull through and Friday afternoon she passed away to her home in heaven with Jesus. We all were around her when the breathing tubes came out and she passed away surrounded by all her family as she stepped into heaven. We will miss her very much. Me and Mom is going to stay in NC with my grandpa til Christmas to help him. We will lay my nanny down to rest tomorrow. Love you all and bless you!!
