Birthday Blessings...

 Yesterday was such a great Birthday!! My Family made it so special!! Thank you all for the Birthday wishes!! I had lots from on here to facebook!! I truly felt loved yesterday!! My parents blessed me with a new laptop since my old one was falling apart!! I was sooo excited about that!! It was a blessed day!!

Isn't the table beautiful? Mom did a wonderful Job with all the cute decor!!

This past week I had the surprise of winning a giveaway on a blog I read!! I enjoy her blog so much. It is such a sweet and encouraging place to visit. What a sweet treat to get this in the mail the day before my Birthday!! It came so lovely wrapped. Such sweet special touches while opening!! It was so pretty wrapped in the ribbon,it almost made me not want to undo the beautiful package. Thank you so much Stephanie!!! You really blessed me today!! God bless you!!

Mother's Day Luau

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!! My mom had been gone all week to NC to visit her dad and my dad went down later in the week to fix things for our new renters in our home. So I had him bring her home by lunch on Sunday and I surprised her with a Luau Party. I had lots of fun planning it and decorating. It turned out great. A Balloon with candy,a palm tree and Sign with Happy Mother's day greeted her on the front porch. I presented her with a flower lei around her neck.

 I found most all of my stuff at the Dollar Tree.

Food

I made my first beach cake. I found blue icing at the store. I used Teddy Grahams as the people,gummy lifesavers as the floats,gummy fish in the water,Kit Kats for the two chairs and found two palm trees at Hobby Lobby and then made the sand out of brown sugar.

I made punch. Just Ginger ale,Pineapple Juice and your choice of Sherbet

 Flip flop cookies I found on Pinterest. You take Nutter Butters and then used icing to make the flip flop. I picked some gel icing and it made it look like the jelly flip flops..lol

Mama's gift basket

 These were hooked to the balloons. I found the bucket at Target and the Candy at Lifeway bookstore,each piece had a different Bible Verse on it.

Her special gift was a Charm necklace I had made with a picture of her Mother that passed away this past December. It was her first Mother's Day without her.

Sweet Poem

The other month my sweet cousin sent me a poem and a saying in a card she mailed me:) It was by one of my favorite writers. I took the poem and did the following with it:)

 I put the wonderful quote in a frame and below and I put the poem in a frame and added 2 pictures I took while coming up the mountain to our new home in Tennessee:)  I just love the poem and thank my cousin for being such a blessing and sending it!!

Sweet Thoughts and Other Random Talk

Hope this post finds everyone well:) Don't you just love those sweet little surprises that come your way? This past Saturday I was having a bad day with my Ocd and was just really wore out from it. I was in my room and my dad passed me a package that came for me in the mail. I opened it up and it was a beautiful needle point sewing of Teapots in a frame. My blogger friend had made and sent this too me with the sweetest card that made me tear up and was words I needed to hear at that moment. Isn't it wonderful how the Lord sends something to you right at the moment you need it? This past weekend we went to Goodwill. They have on the first Saturday of every month a 50% off everything in the store sale. I love it!! I got a pretty picture,A Journal, Little Women and Anne of Green Gables movie all for 5.48!!! What a deal. Tomorrow on Labor day at another thrift store they are having 50% off everything sale. I love their sale day at that store. I hope to go:)

It's rained all day this past Sunday and I loved it!! It has not rained hardly at all since I have been here and I loved it!! Hopefully it will cool down. It's suppose to be in the 70's this week compared to 100 we have been having. Bring out the coats..hahaha..Can't wait for cooler weather:)

A Sweet Surprise...

The mailman brought a package to the door today and I ask who got a package and Mom said it's for you. Me..really..I got so excited!! My Cousin knew that I love teacups from reading my blog and I opened the package and found the following in the box!! I was so excited:) I Love,Love,Love them. They are so pretty and so thoughtful of her to send something to brighten my day:) I love the card with the little pig on it too,so cute!! Thank you to my sweet cousin Jane for sending them. It really made my day!! I will always cherish them:) Thank you!!
