The first Saturday of the month in my area means 50% off day at Goodwill :) I am a thrift and yard sale shopper lover. I love the deals I get at them!! I have 2 in my area I can go to :)

 A bag of Vintage looking Christmas ornaments $1.50!! Basket of Christmas Ornaments $ 2.00!!

2 small ornaments .50 cents each!! I think I need to stop myself because I only buy them at thrift, yard sales or clearance. I hope my tree holds my ornament collection this year..lol. 

 I love cards and stationery. Got all these cute little cards for .50 cents for the whole bundle!!!

 I love time life old pictures. I found this box of Christmas cards and got them for $1.00. They were marked on them at Target for 6.99!!

This was cute. It's a tissue holder,but the lid is on top so you could use it a box storage type decor. Price tag on it from Bed,Bath and Beyond for 19.99. I got it for $1.50!!!!!!

Love making other people's junk my treasures!!!  Love the prices as well!!

Some Thrifty Finds...

 I went to the Habitat for humanity thrift store yesterday. I found a few cute deals for Christmas!! All this for $4.87!! I collect Christmas ornaments so they were a steal. I only really buy ornaments when their cheap at a yard sale or thrift store and good clearance after Christmas!!

Yard Sales and Thrift Finds this weekend!!

We tried yard sales this weekend but made it to very few. The rain started falling :( Good news though it was 50% day at our local goodwill :) So I found some good deals still.

 Thrift Shop 50% everyday sale day! 2 pair of capri's 3.75 each. 3 pair of pajama type pants $2.15 each. Pocketbook 2.00

 Deal Yard Sale- I collect Christmas ornaments and mostly buy them after Christmas on clearance in stores or at yard sales and thrift stores. Got these 3 Thomas Kinkade ones all for 1.00

 Deals:Big Scrapbook 1.00(Yard Sale) Thrift Store 50% off day,Small photo album .50 cents,Medium Photo album 1.00,Picture Frames 1.00 and .50 cents.

The lady at the yardsale I got the scrapbook had free boxes. I didn't see much I needed but I did score a bunch of paper clips and paper free!

Yard Sales and Thrift finds

Me and mom went to yard sales this morning. Their are sooooo many where we live. We could never get to all of them. I bought a few things this morning. I got pretty much a whole stack of blank cd's for 1.00!! You know how much those run in stores. I am always needing them for pictures or music. I also bought a cute little wallet for a 1.00. Then the following below. In all I spent under 5.00!! I didn't buy much today. I love yard sales. Why pay full price? I love the hunt and the deals!!!

I love Amish fiction and I found this pretty wall hanging and got it for .75 cents!!! So simple and peaceful!

 A picture frame for .25 cents and the cutest little Angel I just had to have for .50 cents!

 This tin I didn't get today,but wanted to show it. I found it at a thrift store the other week. I use it to store all my handwritten recipes. I love it!!!

I love Summer only because it's Yard Sale season!!!! Other than that I can do without the heat..lol :)

Thrifty Finds...

I love my Thrift finds!! I love them even more when it's 50% off day!! The first Saturday of the month is always half price day at my local goodwill. I love going in a seeing what I can get interesting. This time I just found 2 things I wanted. The following 2 pocketbooks were only $2 each. You can't pass that kind of deal up. I get all kinds of neat stuff by thrifting. 

I loved this. It had that old look I love!! I am using it as a book/journal tote. 

This one had a fun summer feel too it and I have some shirts that match the blue. Loved this one!!

Vintage Love...

Me and mom went to some thrift stores today. While out we decided to stop at this Antique store. I love old stuff and this place was loaded down with it. Two floors of vintage goodness!! I always drift through these places and wonder what the people who owned the items were like and what their stories were. I really get curious when I see old pictures that have ended up in them. I wonder about the person in the picture and why isn't it still in a family's care somewhere? What and who was the person? They lived a life somewhere. How did their picture end up in a Antique Store? 

 Love this hutch and the country prim type look to it.

I didn't buy anything today,but me and mom had a wonderful time looking at all the old stuff! Such treasures can be found in places like these!!

Thrifty Fun...

I love the first Saturday of every month in my area! They have 50% off day at the Goodwill. Everything in the store is 50% off. I love thrift shopping you never know what you will find and at this price who would want to pay full price? I got the following 2 items that I love at such a great deal!!!

 The pocketbook on top I got for Spring/Summer months. It was 3.99 and I got it for $2.00

The pocketbook below still had all it's original store tags on it from Target and brand new!! It wraps around me so I love that. It will be perfect for yard sales this Summer when getting in and out of the car!! It was $9.99 brand new at target. It was priced $5.99 at goodwill and I got it for $3.00!! 

So in all I got the two pocketbooks,2 picture frames and 2 candles holders all for $8.00. That is cheaper then what I would have paid for the one bag brand new at target. I'm not at all above shopping Thrift and Yard Sales,such good deals and extra savings!!

A great day of deals...

I hope everyone is having a Joyful Labor day weekend!! Today is the first Saturday of the month and that means in my area it's 50% off everything at Goodwill. So I went when they first opened this morning. It's their most busy day. I actually got a dressing room to try on shirts by getting there early,that never happens:) I got 6 shirts,1 pair of Pajama pants and 3 books for about $19 and some change. You just can't beat around $2 for clothing. I never hardly buy clothes new in a store. I hate the mall to be honest. You can just get so much better deals at yard sales and thrift stores!!

Some books I bought!! The Amazing grace one is a devotion and stories behind the hymns book. They all look like good Christian reads. Plus I have seen Courageous,but never read the book!!

Then I came home and gave my 2 dogs a bath and then I washed my bedspread. 

Then I decided to go to the other Goodwill in the area in Fort Campbell. This location is always packed and never any carts by the time I get over there. Today though was my lucky day. A sweet lady gave me her cart when she was loading up her stuff by the front because none were inside. Then the line is usually backed around the store,but I got through fairly quickly today. I found 3 pair of pajama pants,2 shirts,2 books and cute small photo album all for $13!!! 

This is the cutest cookbook I got for a 1.00. I love the look of the old days like this and it's filled with great recipes and stories:)

So all in all it was a great sale day. I love good deals like that and Monday the other thrift store in town is having their 50% off sale. I might try that one too!!!

Weekend Thrifting and Yard Sales!

If you know me and read my blog,you know I love me some yard sales and thrift stores!! This weekend was awesome with the sales! It was the first Saturday of the month and in our area that means 50% off whole store at the goodwill,so I went to 2 of those in my area:) So Friday another thrift store was having 50% off day and I went there and then I have been meaning to stop by this other thrift store I have seen so I did and to my surprise it was having a 50% off sale too. Then I went to yard sales on both Friday and Saturday!! One yard sale in my neighborhood gave me this cool food slicer thing for a 1.00 and the man we seen at kmart the other day showing the same thing in a different brand was selling them for $28.00,so I think that was a deal!!! We are a military town here and people are constantly moving,so there are always wonderful yard sales out on every corner!! Here is some pictures of my finds!!

 Got all these clothes at varies thrift stores. Shirt were around $2.00 and a pair of blue jeans and Capri's and pants for around $3.00

 Picked up the books from different thrifts and yard sales. Ranging from .99-$1.49

 Thrift store find the pocketbook above for $3.00. I am going to use as a cosmetic bag and the pocketbook below was just so cute for 1.00 at a yard sale and it's Old Navy

This bible was just a really good sale! I have been wanting one of these purple ones and found one at Lifeway for $5.00 on sale and it is KJV!!

Hope you enjoyed my bargain finds!! I hardly ever buy new for me it has to be on Clearance,Yard Sales or Thrift Stores!! I like the Duggars motto "Buy used and Save the Difference"

Decorating on a Budget

So I have almost completed my Bedroom. I still have like 1 or 2 more items to get but pretty much it's almost put together finally. I have just been taking my time and finding sales. I am a very frugal person..lol:)

My Bed found it at Goodwill for 19.99..happy moment when I found that deal:) The Pictures I got at Walmart. The Wall Decals I found in the Dollar Tree!!! I found the Bedspread on sale at K-mart for 16.99 and got the pillow at Walmart. I also found matching sheets on clearance at Walmart for 8.00

 Got my window coverings for $5 a panel on sale at K-mart:)

 Got the Wall Decals from the Dollar Tree,can't beat 1.00:) I have had the picture from when I got it at Christmas one year

 Lampshade from walmart on Clearance for 4.00 and the Lamp Base from Goodwill for 3.99. I put the poem my sweet cousin sent me in a frame and added two of my pictures too it. I got the table at Walmart

 Bookshelf from Walmart. The cute saying from my sweet cousin she sent I framed and put on the top shelf. The picture my sweet blogger friend sewed on my second shelf. Most all the books here are ones I have been given,gotten free to review on my blog and brought cheap at yard sales and thrift stores. On the bottom shelf my fish frame my sister painted and made for me one year for my birthday. Plus there is my I love Lucy tin I got at goodwill one time.
