Seasons of Life...

Life is so full of changes. The past two years I have really seen the changes in the seasons of life. Sometimes it excites me to think what the new season could bring. Other times if scares me what could be ahead. I just want to stay in the moment,"the good moments"sometimes!! I don't want to face sometimes what could lay ahead. It's such a crazy transition into adulthood. Sometimes your heart is tugging to stay and wanting to not leave the past. Then the other half wants to move on and start some big adventure in life. Life can be so confusing at times. When you're standing at a crossroad and your looking around you and you have absolutely no idea which road to take. I let fear stand in my way so much. I just want to run and jump and take the leaps of faith sometimes but I just find myself staring and waiting in the crossroad afraid to move. I may not be making any sense to anybody in this post,but I have a lot on my mind lately. How do you get over fear taking over your body? How to follow your dreams when you just feel afraid? I am reaching the age of 30 next year. I feel like everyone my age has gone on with their lives. They have gotten married,had families of their own. Then I'm like that's me on the sidelines watching the normal phases of life go through everyone but me. I fine and content most of the time. It's just sometimes that little nag inside me starts nagging me and I start wondering where I am going? Then this verse comes to mind and I think just wait it will all work out. For it says "To everything there is a season".

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Valentine's once again...

Valentine's is upon us once again!! The thing is it really hasn't bothered me that I am single again this year!! So many people are jumping in and out of relationships and person after person. I don't think their is nothing wrong with dating as long as it is a clean good time together. Their is no harm in going out with somebody to get to know a person. Weather it be going to a church service together,the movies or grabbing a bite to eat somewhere,bowling. Their are ton of good clean fun you can have and I don't see nothing wrong with that. I am a person who usually knows the first time I meet a guy that no he isn't the one and pretty much end it after the first date. God shows me who is right and who is wrong for me.

Now I don't approve of going and sleeping with someone before your married and having one night stands or clubbing or drinking. To me that is worldly dating and is not good for a person. Their are so many people today having one night stands and that is so sad. God intended sex to be for Marriage!! Going after person after person and jumping in and out of relationships and having sex and one night stands isn't good and will not get you anywhere.

I dream sometimes of who God has for me or maybe he doesn't have anyone for me. Maybe their is another plan he has. If he does have someone for me. I have standards in what a guy should be.

He must love God first and put him first in everything. A Godly caring man who is also dedicated to his family. One who does not drink. One who is pure and can come to marriage that way. One who is kind and humble. One who loves others and is slow to anger. One who is respectful. One who helps others. One who has a good sense of humor and then also knows when to be serious. One who holds my hand through the trials of our life. Someone simple and does not need fancy things. I could go on,but I think you get the picture!

Don't settle young people.
Wait for the one God has chosen for you. Stay pure and don't follow the wrong crowd. Wait for the Lord to send you the person,the godly person he has for you!

Staying Content...

I know we are to be content in life,but to be honest I sometimes have trouble with being content. I had so many things in mind that I was supposed to be at in life now. Seeing everyone I have known having babies and getting married always tugs at me a little. Don't get me wrong I am still very happy for everyone that does these,but somewhere deep down a longing always hits me on how my dream is not coming true. I have this dream of being a wife and mother. I didn't realize til lately how deeply I wanted it. I always tuck it away somewhere inside and say it does not bother me,but I am finding out it does bother me. It also hurts to hear in the world that people can have kid after kid but yet they don't want them,abort them,neglect them or hurt them. Why are they able to have children but some that would give wonderful homes and want kids can't have them? That question makes me wonder a lot. Just thought I would pour my heart out a little with some honest feelings. Maybe some single person out there can understand what I am trying to say or maybe they feel the same way. I am though trying to work on being content and God has a plan and I will follow what he wants me to do.

Just the Way you are!

Do you ever feel like you just don't fit in anywhere? I do so many times!! I sometimes feel like I don't do things right or say the right things. I wonder what my life calling and purpose sometimes in life is. It really gets me down sometimes. It's just really hard when you don't feel like you fit in anywhere. I'm just saying all this to say it's an issue that even Christian people face. There is one thing that keeps me going and that is knowing that I am accepted anyway,anytime by my Lord!! We don't need to fear of what people think of us. Just care what the Lord thinks about you! Cause in the end that is the only thing that is going to matter. He made you and created you and he is proud of you just the way you are!

Encouragement for the Single Woman

The other week,I was feeling kinda of down. I know several who have entered into courtships,relationships,marriage and had children. I got to wondering just when or if I will get the chance to be a bride and have children. When will I get the chance to be a keeper at home and raise a family to serve God? I received a Christian magazine in the mail one day and I kept forgetting to read it. So finally I got to reading it one day and one article in it felt like it was speaking directly to me. It was from a woman who had gone through the same extact feelings I was feeling. The article really blessed my heart and gave me such encouragement. She too wondered if and when all these things would come to pass. Then as she was reading her bible one day it hit her she was married to the Lord!! She could be of so much help and encouragement to people and go about the Lord's work while being single. It really brought me up. To think the Lord is letting me stay single to minister and be of service for him. There are so many things I can do now for the Lord!! If I stay single for the rest of my days,I have accepted it because I am not alone,I am married to the Lord!! What an honor that is!! If the Lord sees fit to send me a spouse and family down the road that is great,but if not I will be content because I will be married to the Lord and serving him. What a grand thing and how delightful that is!
Here is a link to the article I read! I just get the magazine for the wonderful devotion and encouraging stories they have!!
