Book Review:Money Secrets of the Amish by Lorilee Craker

I had the chance to renew this book and it was related with the Amish so of course I had to choose it to read and review. People in the world want so much today. Big cars, latest gadgets and the name brand stuff. Even if the stuff they have is still perfectly useful, they just want it because it's new or because their friends have bought new. This book takes a look at the Amish way on money. It tells about saving and using items until they are no longer able to use. Fix it if it can be fixed and use it. Why go out and buy it and spend money just so you can "Keep up with Jones". She interviewed some Amish for the book about their money secrets. She has tips and home remedies. This is a great book on people who are really interested in saving money and not wasting money just so it's new or to keep up with others. I think that is why the Amish get along pretty good, they don't have a bunch of debt they go out and borrow just too have the flashy new items. They just live at a normal simple life. It gives you a lot of good information to think on in this book and about saving money. I enjoyed it.

Book Review:Dug down deep By Joshua Harris

I have always heard wonderful reviews from books that Joshua Harris has wrote. He was the one who wrote I kissed dating goodbye, which I still need to read. So I thought I would pick his book out from the selection to read and review. It did not disappoint me either. It is a wonderful read and his writing style makes it easy to start reading and read through,it has a good writing style. The book centers around not just walking the Christian walk and going with and through the same old motions. He talks about really trully digging deep and searching for God and his word. To find out who are in your faith. This is also a good book for younger people or people trying to find their place in their christian walk. Another great book from Joshua Harris.

Time is a Flying

Wow..time is flying by. It's all happening so fast. It hasn't yet hit me that in 2 weeks we will be gone to Clarksville. I have had one break down, but so far been so busy I have not had time to think about it. Had a huge curb alert on the free section on Craigslist and got rid of a ton. People were lined up in minutes and it was gone. I already got a full load again and will probably have more by the end of the week to give away. We are leaving a week I think before Dad starts on the 20th, and we will be living in our camper in a campground there until we find a place and then we will come back to the house and pack up the moving truck. That's the plan now. So many many memories has been made in this house since I was a year old. Many many good times and laughs. It will always remain in my heart forever. So many things are falling into place right on time and prayers answered in a way that I knew without a doubt that God is leading right now and answering. The lady is coming in the morning about putting the house on the market. I just pray that God blesses the next family that moves in like we   were blessed as we have been over the years..ok gotta go now, going to have a cry if I don't stop..lol.

We Shall see god Book Review by Randy Alcorn

I had heard of Charles Spurgeon I think before. He was a popular preacher back the late 1800's. He was born in 1834 and died in 1892. He preached too as many as 10 million people in his lifetime of ministry. The Author of this book Randy Alcorn takes a look at fifty of Spurgeon's sermons centered about Heaven. In the introduction part he tells us a little history of Charles Spurgeon, which I enjoyed because I knew very little about him. Throughout the book Alcorn shares his thoughts and insights into the sermons after each one.  I also like how it included when and where and the date the sermon was preached. This makes a wonderful full read through or if you want too just go through it slowly and have devotions from the sermons. He also made and wrote it into a way we would understand it better in today's words. Very nice little book. Great for anyone who likes Charles Spurgeon or just wants a good devotion book. Very pleased with it.

Seasons of Change

Hey All,
Well today I finally have something to write about. It's sad in some ways and very Happy in other ways. A couple of years ago my dad had a great Job in an Office where he didn't have to Call on Customers and Stress over sales. Dad lost his Job there after the company shut down. At the time they offered him a position in Clarksville TN at the Office there. Dad and Mom rode out there and check everything out,but at the time they felt strongly that the Job might not be permanent and it wasn't God's will for us too go. So Dad got back into what he was in before selling Printing. The economy is really bad right in the that industry and he has tried really really hard to sell printing which he's done for over 32 years. He has looked all around this area and done his best to try and find another Job in the area. Well he's keep in contact with his former Company and they think very highly of him. A couple weeks ago we got a call about a Job offer. After much talking and decisions and most of all praying for God's will. This morning the Company called from Clarksville and offered him a Job. No printing or selling and most important not seeing my dad stressed over finding new Customers and selling. They offered exactly what we needed and so as of this morning Dad has accepted the Job in Clarksville TN. We are moving. They want him to start by June 20th. We feel very at peace and in God's will this time and know it's his will for us too go there. So we will be packing up starting soon and we will move from the home where we bought the Land, built the house from the ground up and a place I have lived in since I was one. I grew up in this house, my dad grew up around on the next street over, and my paw paw also lived as a kid on the next block. I have been in this area my whole life. All my family has went to the same Good Ole Allen Jay school. I never expected to be leaving my home town. I feel a total peace about it because I know it's in God's will and in God's will is the perfect place to be. There are going to be tears shed and memories remembered as we pack up and move away but at this time in life this where we are following God too. Many prayers and other matters have been answered over this. I don't know how much I will be able to post over the next while, but I do have some book reviews to post that were sent to me and I might post on the moving process, but it's going to be a very busy time. Please pray for us as we make this move. I know personally I am going to Miss Family,My Church,Friends and Hometown, but the Lord has got us in a new direction. I will be keeping everyone posted as we go alone. We will Probably live either in our camper or a hotel there until we find a place. It's still a couple weeks before we actually leave but I do know as of now they want him by June 20th. Pray for this Season of our life.

Review:Woman of Faith Woship Rejoice CD

I recently had the chance to review this cd. It is filled with 10 songs. I got it for a change and something different to hear. I personally could not get into it. The women have beautiful voices and great talent. I just could not get into the song versions on this cd. I am not really into contemporary christian music. I like some but not all,so that is why I gave this a try,but for me I just could not get into it. I found myself flipping through it. For those of you who like Worship and Contemporary Christian would very much enjoy this. I just get more out of the the Old gospel songs or Southern Gospel. That is just my opinion though. It includes lyrics as well in the cover which I like. Would make a great gift or something for yourself for those that like the newer Christian music out there.

Cd Includes:
  1. Beautiful Redeemer
  2. So Good
  3. Forever Reign
  4. Come As You Are
  5. Hosanna
  6. Our God
  7. Glory To God
  8. You Brought the Sunshine
  9. Greatness of Our God
  10. Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Ramblings and Such...

Howdy all,
I know my blog has been boring here lately. I just really have had nothing to blog about. Not much going on. So here are a few random things:) Hope everyone is well!!
Well here are some Random Pics:)

We have had a lot of storms blow through lately..some parts got it really bad so far we have been lucky:)
Our power went out once during one of the storms and thank goodness for our oil lanterns we have from my grandparents we kept after they passed away. They come in very handy:)
Took this of Benji and looking later on my camera I started laughing, looks like no body with only a head coming out of the patio..lol
My Daisy enjoy the beautiful weather, she loves outside:)
 Random Pic of me
I mentioned a prayer request I know on Facebook. I think I put it on here but I can't remember. It was a unspoken one and Praise the Lord the prayer it was answered last week. Prayers work and I want to truly thank all who prayed. He worked it all out for me. Thank you Lord:)
Mama Cleaned off a bookshelf in the living room and didn't need it anymore. So I asked if I could have it and she said yes. So I put it in my room, I was running out of room for books. I am getting so many free books from review sites to review for my blog. All Christian based books that I normally would not be able to buy:) It was her shelf from when she was a teenager:) So that makes it special as well.
We Celebrated Dad's Birthday on May 1st. We had Hot Dogs and Cake. Made him a Gift basket that's in the middle of the table:)
We had a nice Mother's Day, I made Lunch and a cake for mom. Plus two great Church services as well:)
Not very good, it was the first one I have wrote on and decorated..lol..it was good inside though:)
 Mom enjoyed her day:)
Made Chicken,Green Beans and Pasta Salad, plus the cake:)
and
I still like making homemade gifts:)
And....
Of Course I have been Reading a lot different books lately:)

Well that is all I can think of right now. Very Random post I know:) Have a great week. Til next time.

Good Thought

Heard my sister say a good point she heard from somebody today. Everyone so easily believes that Osama was killed, died and dumped in an ocean with no evidence shown to public that he is dead. Yet why does everyone question that Jesus died on the cross and rose for us? Good thought.
